Oils for hair: sealing in softness
Oil does not hydrate hair, it protects the moisture already there. Here is how to use it well.

Water is what hydrates hair. Oil’s job is to slow the loss of that moisture and to add slip and shine. That is why oil works best on hair that is slightly damp.
A simple method
For an oil bath, massage a few drops into the scalp, then smooth the oil through your lengths and ends. Leave it on for one hour, then shampoo, condition and style as usual.
Repeat weekly or biweekly, as desired. Like any care routine, it is consistency that builds visibly softer, healthier-looking hair. For fine hair, choose Kalahari Melon; for thick or coily hair, Baobab or Argan.
Less is more. You can always add another drop, but you cannot take one away.
